Lily Anne Pohlman

It could not have been more perfect!  What a WONDERFUL day.  Monday, June 18th 2012 we welcomed a new spirit into our family.

We were told to call the hospital at 6:00 am to see if they could get us in.  They said they would call back before 7:30.  They called at 8:00 to tell us they were ready.  Susan came and spent the morning at our house and saw us off to the hospital along with O and M.  C slept at his cousins in order to make it to Basketball camp early that morning.

We arrived at the hospital and were assigned room 2.  We were all set up and Dr. Froerer came in to see what the plan was. He broke my water, started pit, and ordered my epidural.  I could feel the contractions just enough to know something was going on.  However, every time I looked at the monitor, it did not show contractions.  Soon the nurse came in and adjusted the probes.  Soon we saw what I thought was happening!  Consistent, strong contractions.  I was at a 7 and 100% effaced.  We called family and told them to come for the birth of our new baby.

A few minutes later I was ready to push and my Dr was there to help.  However, he got a call that another patient was ready too.  I felt horrible!  A contraction started and I pushed. Soon another contraction and our sweet baby was here!  It was very quick and easier than I expected.  Dr. Froerer was very professional and finished with us.  I told him to quickly get to the other patient.  He soon returned having delivered another baby.  He helped in making it such a wonderful experience.

Lily Anne Pohlman weighed a WHOPPING 9 pounds 3 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. After a few minutes, the reality of having a daughter hit me and I became very emotional! I knew I was excited to have a daughter but did not expect to feel such a spiritual bond in that moment. I am so thankful for this opportunity to raise this beautiful little girl.

The days following her birth were wonderful as our friends and family came to visit.  Our baby is mellow which makes it even more enjoyable.  We are still working on helping her figure out days and nights but know that will come with time.  Until then, we will be engulfed with her big cheeks, black hair, and a pink bow.

Welcome to the Pohlman family Lilly Anne!  WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

Ready or Not

We are set up for induction on Monday.  I have been VERY ready with a lot of contracting and little sleep.  However, now I am wondering if I really am ready for this. I think I have forgotten how much work a new baby will be.  But, I am ready to see what she will look like and hold her in my arms.  My belly is also ready to pop.  I will post pictures when we get home. Until then, I will sign off as a mother of three and only boys.  Goodnight!

Summer Fun

Summer has begun and it is non stop.  The older boys are doing sports camp on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  They love it.  We are spending a lot of time outside jumping on the tramp, riding bikes, playing baseball, football, and basketball.  The favorite activity seems to be sales.  So far they have sold cherries from our tree, Otter Pops, snow cones, raisins, granola bars, and candy.

The boys feet are black by the end of the day and their bodies are covered in dirt and Popsicles.  Keeping my floors and toilets clean seems IMPOSSIBLE!

I must admit it is nice not having to be so many places.  Especially in the morning.  We love being together and it seems the kids always have someone to play with.  Summer Fun has just started but we are on a roll!

Here and There

Just a few updates.  The boys had three cousins get baptized in a two week period.  I can't believe they are old enough!  Both services were wonderful!

C Man has a new LOVE!!!  Baseball.  He can't get enough of it!!!

Moozer went to Kindergarten Orientation last week!!!!  Really?????  At least we have the summer to prepare for that.  I can't imagine him gone every afternoon.  He is my little buddy right now with C at school and O napping.

Ready Set....

No Go yet!!!  We are still trying to get ready around here for the arrival of our sweet baby girl!  Sara convinced me to paint her room pink and I LOVE IT!!!  She even helped!!!  Trisha came too.  Three prego ladies painting a room.  It took us one afternoon and a free for all with our kids.  They really are true friends.  Love them!

I need to post pictures of all the other work I have done.  I sewed curtains, hung the rods, sewed a bed skirt, and I am now working on the three pillows.  The drawers are filled with clothes and the car seat is ready to go.  It is just so exciting so I am a little ahead of myself.  I am only 32 weeks along but we will see what the next few weeks bring. Until then, I will do a double take every time I walk by a PINK room!!!

HaPpY 7th BiRtHdAy C Man!!!!

You have really grown up a lot this year!!! We love you very much and often laugh about the corky things you do. You are good at making people laugh and tend to enjoy it very much. I had to take a picture of the item you keep with you at all times. If you do not have a pocket, you still manage to keep it near by.....chapstick. Even during a Jr. Jazz game, the chapstick was there in your sock!! We love you bud!

You have become very independent this past year. You love school and enjoy learning. I have to admit, I kind of think you are a little handsome too. You made the goal to read the Book of Mormon before you are baptized next year. IMPRESSIVE!!! Thanks for your example.

If we let you, you would play basketball 24 hours 7 days a week. You quickly get your homework done so you can get out to play, even in the freezing cold.

Your birthday started a few days before with a celebration at our house with ALL the Pohlman side of the family. Once again, you were spoiled with gifts and candy galore for your birthday by Grandpa, Grandma, cousins, Aunts and Uncles. This year's new request, Brighton gear so you can cheer on your two older cousins at their basketball games. Your actual birthday was a non stop party. You received a package first thing this morning. A jazz tin filled with a variety of Mrs. Fields cookies. Breakfast was off to a great start. The card said it was from the Jazz but somehow, I think your Dad had something to do with that one! Daddy and I brought lunch to your school along with donuts for your classmates. Thanks for letting us eat lunch with you!!! That was a blast. Next, you and Dad headed out to play poisen on the playground. However, Dad was soon sent off because he has not done his background check!!!! OOPS! After school we finished homework and soon we headed to meet Dad again. This time for a surprise dinner. SUSHI!!!! Yummy. We gave you your gift of Karate lessons, a uniform, and Utah Basketball tickets. You picked Dad to go with you to the game tonight.

Oh we love you Mr. You make us better people as we strive to be good parents to you. You

challenge us, make us laugh, make us think, and make us proud to be your parents. May the Lord bless you with even more love and strength as you embark on another year of growing! Happy Birthday Car Car!
